Policy on Politeness

Policy on Politeness

Purpose:
To protect the wellbeing, safety, and dignity of our staff, and to ensure a professional and respectful working environment.

Policy Statement:
Our Staff expects all Artsists to treat staff with courtesy and respect. Abuse of any kind—verbal, emotional, discriminatory, or passive-aggressive name-calling of any kind great or small—will not be tolerated.

Definition of Abusive Behaviour:
Abusive behaviour includes but is not limited to:

  • Use of offensive, obscene, or threatening language
  • Name-calling, or a negative tone,
  • Harassment with repeated contact
  • Discrimination based on race, gender, religion, or any characteristic
  • Direct or implied lack of ability, any direct or implied deficiency in intelligence, professionalism or capability.

Response to Abuse:
If an Artist becomes abusive:

  1. The staff member will issue a clear warning to the Artist
  2. If the behaviour continues, their contract will eventually be terminated.

Escalation Procedure:
All incidents will be logged and escalated to an Agency Manager. In severe or repeated cases, the matter may be referred to legal or security teams as appropriate.

Zero Tolerance Policy:
We are committed to a zero tolerance approach to abuse. Our staff have the right to work free from threat or harm.

Support for Staff:
Any team member experiencing abuse is encouraged to report the incident immediately. Support will be provided, including the option of counselling or further HR action if needed.

Conclusion:
Mutual respect is the foundation of effective communication. We thank all artists for helping us maintain a professional and safe environment.
